Hello Neighbor

Written By Katie

The very first day that we closed on our house, one of our neighbors who lives behind us brought us a plate of cookies.  You always hear about nice gestures like that, but I wasn’t sure that anyone did it anymore.  It was one of the those moments where you just light up because of someone’s kindness.   Now, months later, we have a family who has moved into our circle who we haven’t really been able to introduce ourselves to.  As I remember what our other neighbor did for us, I am sorry that I didn’t do this the very first day they moved in.  But I hope that with spring coming, we will have more opportunities to get to know them, and welcome them to the neighborhood the right way.

And because it’s Friday, and it’s almost the weekend, I want to share a packaging idea for you all.  If you have a desire to bake this weekend, maybe use this to give a thoughtful, unexpected gift to someone you know, or even someone you don’t know.  It could make their day!  And if you love the Hello Neighbor label, you can download it!  Just visit Joy Ever After’s blog for the pdf.

I don’t know what I like more, the bakers twine with cobalt blue ribbon intertwined, or the red patterns around the box and the doily wrapped around the side.   No matter what you like, it’s a super easy way idea to spruce up any present.  Another idea is you could do Hello Friend and print it on card stock at home and use the Hello Neighbor template to cut to size.
