Not your Traditional Bridal Shower

Written By Katie

While planning my future sister-in-law’s shower with my fellow family members, I came across a lot of great ideas for showers.  This one found on Elizabeth Anne Designs was one of my favorites, mostly because I would love to be able to arrange flowers for my own home, that would look like a “professional” arrangement.    The concept of this particular bridal shower is to invite a local florist to come teach a class to all the bridal shower guests on how to make arrangements for their home.  Each could bring their own vase or container, and you could provide a bunch of flowers from your local wholesale flower district (or a Sam’s or grocery store nearby).    However, if you live in New York, check out the original bridal shower inspiration on 100 Layer Cake as Blossom & Branch, offers classes to the public and is also available for events as well.

I thought it was particularly cute that each guest got an apron, a pad of paper, and shears as a shower favor.  It’s a reminder of what they learned and they can use those things to practice and do flower arranging more in their home in the future!
