Invitation Monday

One of my favorite aspects of an invitation is not only the invitation itself, but the envelope that you are sending it out in!  Calligraphy is definitely a work of art, and I can tell you after attempting it quite a few times in my life, that I am definitely not a calligrapher and I have a lot of respect for those who are!  Jessica Lynn, owns a company called Penned & Pretty here in the Midwest and has three great modern calligraphy styles; Pretty Perfect, Pretty Adorable, and Pretty Whimsy.

Calligraphy helps set the tone for your wedding along with the invitation itself.  Sometimes budgets do not allow for calligraphy, but almost all of the calligraphers I know do many different aspects of the wedding suite from envelopes to place cards to signs for decor at the reception; all allowing you the chance to have it somewhere at your wedding.

I don’t know about you, but wouldn’t you love to get a wedding invitation with this pretty handwriting in the mail?

I love Jessica! She’s calligraphing our envelopes. And, she’s a fellow fete bride! I’m so excited to see how our envelopes turn out!
